We also provide programming for Community Based Victim Services, PEACE Counselling, Family Skills and Early Years support.

Occupational Therapist (Permanent Full-Time)

North Coast Community Services Society (NCCS)

📍 Prince Rupert, BC (travel required)

 

Salary:            $44.05–$52.82/hour  

Benefits:        This is a unionized position with salary and benefits subject to the requirements of the BC Government Employees Union’s Collective Agreement. 

Union Grid:    16-P-OT (BCGEU-CSSEA)

Hours:            35 hours/week (Monday–Friday, 7 hours/day, flexibility to meet client needs)

This is a full-time position; however, part-time arrangements may be considered for the right candidate.

Start Date:     June 2026 (or as soon as possible)

💼 About the Role

As part of a multidisciplinary team, the Occupational Therapist works with children and youth experiencing physical disabilities and/or motor delays.

Reporting to the Executive Director, you will:

  • Assess, develop, implement, and evaluate individualized intervention plans
  • Support children and youth in achieving developmental milestones
  • Address functional, motor, and sensory challenges
  • Recommend and support the use of assistive technologies and adaptive strategies
  • Promote success in self-care, play, school, and community participation
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, schools, and community partners
  • Deliver services using culturally inclusive and trauma-informed approaches
  • Support regional service delivery, including virtual care options

🎓 Qualifications

  • Degree from an entry-to-practice Occupational Therapy program
  • Registration (or eligibility) with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC
  • Pediatric experience is preferred
  • Experience supervising a Rehabilitation or Therapy Assistant is an asset

  • Clear Criminal Record Review
  • Ability to use standard office and communication technologies
  • Physical capacity to meet job requirements
  • Class 5 driver’s license, clean driver’s abstract, and access to a reliable vehicle
