Overview
- North Coast Salvage & Recycling is seeking two full-time labourers to join our team. As a labourer, you'll be responsible for grading, sorting, and cutting metal materials. You'll use heavy equipment to load and unload metal materials and to move materials around the yard. This is a hands-on role suited for someone who is reliable, safety-minded, and comfortable working outdoors in a fast-paced yard environment.
Duties
- Recieve, sort, and separate metal materials
- Grade and weight metal materials
- Operate equipment, including: Excavator, Forklift, Skid Steer
- Perform metal cutting using oxy-acetylene torch (as required)
- Assist with general yard labour and other duties as assigned
Experience
- Experience operating equipment is preferred (excavator, forklift, skid steer, etc.)
- Experience with oxy-acetylene cutting is an asset
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 30lbs
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-minded
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
Pay: $28.00-$35.00 per hour
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
