Gallery Associate, Tlell - Part-Time

We’re looking for someone special to join our art gallery team at Crystal Cabin Gallery! If you identify as someone who truly cares about supporting local artists, celebrating Haida Gwaii’s unique creative identity, and delivering an exceptional experience to customers, we want to hear from you! 

What You’ll Be Doing

This role includes day-to-day gallery operations and supporting marketing and online efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcoming clients and helping them explore artwork and jewellery from local artists while contributing to a warm, inviting gallery experience
• Learning our products and sales approach alongside a team member before moving into independent sales (processing transactions, answering questions, wrapping purchases, and supporting returns)
• Keeping the gallery looking its best by maintaining displays, restocking and polishing jewellery, and helping keep the space clean and organized, with occasional light exterior upkeep
• Supporting marketing and online activities such as photo shoots, product uploads, online listings, and shipping orders. This may involve assisting with models, photography setup, and equipment, and occasionally participating in brand content with consent and a signed photo release
• Supporting overall gallery operations by assisting with events, following opening/closing and product handling procedures, and updating inventory quantities and costs as new stock arrives

What We’re Looking For

• A genuine connection to Haida Gwaii and respect for the art, artists, and culture of this place
• Positive, reliable, and detail-oriented, with a collaborative mindset and a willingness to learn new skills (customer service experience is helpful but not required)

Hours & Compensation

This role is a part-time position (approximately 24 hours or 3 days per week). The schedule will include Saturdays, with remaining days determined based on operational needs.

Wage range: $26.00 to 30.00/hour (final compensation discussed during the interview).

Start date: Thursday, October 15, 2026 (with flexible start dates for the right candidate).
