Salary: $28.00 to $35.00 hourly (depending on experience)

Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week

Terms of employment: Permanent, Full-time

Start date: As soon as possible


Overview


We are seeking a motivated Electrician Apprentice to join our team in Terrace, British Columbia. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of certified journeyperson electricians while gaining hands-on experience in the electrical trade.


Languages: English


Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate , regsitered apprentice with BC Trades


Experience required:


Experience in residential, commercial and industrial fields. Man lift ticket and harness awareness.


Work setting: Commercial, Residential, Construction site


Tasks


Electrical installations — Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems and equipment


Wire pulling — Pull wire through conduits, walls, cable trays, and underground systems


Equipment support — Install brackets, hangers, and support systems for electrical equipment


Wiring systems — Install surface‑mount, concealed, and underground wiring systems


Drawings & code — Read and interpret drawings, circuit diagrams, and electrical code specifications


Single‑phase metering — Install single‑phase consumer/supply metering equipment


Protection devices — Install surge protective devices, GFCI, and AFCI systems


Testing & continuity — Test electrical systems and continuity using multimeters and other test equipment


Troubleshooting support — Assist journeypersons with troubleshooting motors, transformers, and control circuits


Motor & transformer work — Support installation and maintenance of single‑phase transformers and DC motors


Safety compliance — Follow workplace safety procedures and applicable electrical codes


Credentials: Registered third year apprentice in British Columbia

Valid driver’s licence considered an asset


Work conditions and physical capabilities

Overtime may be required
