Electrician Apprentice

Salary: $28.00 to $35.00 hourly (depending on experience) Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week 

Terms of employment: Permanent, Full-time 

Start date: As soon as possible 

The candidate will work under the supervision of certified journeyperson electricians while gaining hands-on experience in the electrical trade. 

Languages: English 

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate , regsitered apprentice with BC Trades 

Experience: Experience an asset 

Registered apprentice preferred 

Work setting: Commercial, Residential, Construction site 

Tasks 

Assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment 

Pull wire through conduits and walls 

Install brackets and hangers to support electrical equipment 

Assist with installing surface mount and underground wiring systems 

Read and interpret drawings, circuit diagrams and electrical code specifications under supervision 

Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits using test equipment 

Assist joumeyperson electricians with troubleshooting and repairs 

Follow workplace safety procedures and applicable electrical codes 

Credentials: Eligible to register as an apprentice in British Columbia 

Valid driver's licence considered an asset
