Full job description

Duties:

  • Preparing coffee drinks to order using brewing equipment, accessories, and supplies
  • Preparing sandwiches and salads to order using equipment, accessories, and product
  • Food preparation
  • Ability to prepare recipes to Yaga standards and methods
  • Able to prepare ingredients in a timely manner according to prep list
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Welcoming customers and answering questions
  • Unpacking and inputting new stock into inventory
  • Performing retail service duties such as inventory, answering the phone, serving customers, and managing a point-of-sale system
  • Perform general cleaning duties to ensure the café is clean and tidy
  • Various general labour tasks such as lifting, moving, and disposing of materials
  • Available to work afternoons/early evening and weekends

Qualifications:

Experience - Food preparation in a commercial kitchen experience will be considered an asset

Skills and Abilities – Lightspeed Retail, kitchen equipment, and a demonstrated understanding and appreciation for Nisga’a culture

Certifications –Valid Food Safe Course (Preferred)

  • French not required

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Evening shift
  • Weekends as needed
