Job Description

Since 1973 the Company has grown into a multi-faceted company serving manufacturing and construction fields throughout Northwestern British Columbia. Broadwater Industries provides custom fabrication and constructions services specializing in marine construction along the Northwest Coast of BC. Past projects include ferry terminals, custom-built aluminum boats, custom-design steel and aluminum fabrication, structural steel installations, marine construction, offshore construction, general construction and contracting, construction project management, construction site management, commercial general contractor, bridge construction.


Location: Project-based / Various construction sites

Employment Type: Full-time hourly wage $36.60 hourly

We are seeking an experienced Metal Fabricator Fitter to join our construction team. You will be working on active construction sites, carrying out fabricating and installation work while following strict safety and quality standards.


Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities

Fabricate, assemble, fit and install steel or other metal components for buildings, bridges, boats, tanks, towers, boilers, pressure vessels and other similar structures and products.

  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and fabrication plans
  • Measure, cut, shape, and assemble steel components according to specifications
  • Operate welding and cutting equipment (MIG, TIG, Stick) and other machinery to join steel

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a welder on construction sites
  • Ability to read technical drawings
  • Strong focus on workplace health and safety
  • Physically fit and comfortable working on active construction sites
  • Prepare materials, tools, and work areas on-site
  • Coordinate with supervisors and other trades on site
  • Maintain tools, equipment
  • Hands-on experience operating power tools such as grinders, drills, plasma cutters, press brakes, and pipe threading machines.
