Job Description

Volunteer Program Coordinator positon

Contract Term: 3 months, with the possibility of ongoing employment pending grant approval.

Hours: 6 hours a week

Compensa0on: $25 per hour

We are looking for an energeBc, friendly and community-minded Volunteer Program Coordinator

to lead volunteer recruitment, training and engagement for Sandspit and Daajing Giids. This

posiBon is ideal for someone outgoing, organized, and excited about strengthening community

support for seniors.


Key Responsibilites:

• Develop, post and manage volunteer opportuniBes

• Interview prospecBve volunteers to ensure alignment with the BeRer at Home (BAH)


program and goals

• Train volunteers to support seniors safely and effecBvely at their own homes

• Coordinate with the BAH Coordinator to meet program needs and schedule volunteers

accordingly.

• Collaborate with staff and the Support Services Board

• Plan and host volunteer appreciaBon events

• Track program activities, be part of the grant writing team, and ensure deliverables are

met

• Complete administraBve tasks, reporBng and budgeBng duBes


Qualifica0ons

• Experience in a leadership role

• Access to own computer, phone and internet

• Experience working in a nonprofit environment

• Self-directed, dependable, and able to work collaboraBvely

• Able to pass a Criminal Record Check
