Job Description

HUMAN RESOURCES COORDINATOR

 

 Reports To:    VP, Human Resources

Northern Savings Credit Union is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator (HRC) who will play a key role in delivering and coordinating a broad range of human resources functions, with a secondary focus on payroll and benefits. The HRC brings foundational HR expertise, contributes to a positive employee experience, and supports a culture of exemplary member service and employee engagement.

 

This is a temporary (18-24 months) role, however, there is potential for the contract to be extended.

 

What You’ll Do

Be the go-to for all things HR, with a focus on:

·        Leading recruitment & onboarding

·        Helping leaders and employees navigate HR questions and processes

·        Maintaining a clean, accurate, and up to date HRIS

·        Creating reports and working on special HR initiatives and projects

·        Championing a positive, respectful, team-focused workplace

·        Providing back up support to the payroll & benefits function

 

What You Bring

·        3-5 years of HR experience (preferred)

·        Proficiency in Microsoft Office

·        Strong communication skills and a friendly, approachable vibe

·        Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities

·        Ability to build positive relationships while maintaining confidentiality  

·        A passion for helping people and building a great workplace

·        Bonus points for credit union or financial services experience

·        Experience in payroll, benefits, or financial services is an asset

 

Education

·        High school diploma required

·        Post-secondary education and HR Courses (CUIC, CUSOURCE) are a plus

·        CPHR designation (or working toward it) is an asset
