An employment opportunity exists for a Continuing Part-Time (0.429 FTE) Technology Education Teacher Teacher effective September 1, 2026 at Daax̱iigan Sḵ'adáa Née K-12 School.
Requirements:
· A university teaching major, or its equivalent, directly related to the teaching position;
· Understanding and being committed to the Calls to Action of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, including the eradication of existing and persistent equity gaps for specific groups of children;
· High level of skills related to successful classroom management, and to the development and maintenance of a positive classroom climate;
· Experience with multi-grade classes an asset;
· Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, instruct and evaluate learning activities for students’ strengths and for their academic, social, emotional and behavioural needs;
· Assume primary responsibility for designing, instructing, assessing, and evaluating the educational programming of all assigned students;
· Working with the learning services and administrative team to collaboratively develop and implement Individual Education Plans and Behavior Plans;
· Knowledge of school-based teams;
· Be prepared to provide support in creating inclusive learning environments where students are connected, supported, engaged and challenged;
· Proven interpersonal skills, work ethic and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with students, teachers, education assistants, parents and administrators;
· Understanding of local resources and environment;
· Teacher Regulation Branch certification.
Competitive Salary: $32,353 - $51,575 per annum
Remote and Rural Allowance: $1,502 per annum
Travel Allowance: $517 per annum
Up to $2,000 relocation allowance upon submission of receipts
This position is eligible for a pre-employment signing bonus of $4,290 in return for a successful candidate accepting a job offer for this position.
