Job Title: Supportive Recovery Program Worker

Wage Range: $25.95 - $29.76 / hour

Job Type: Temporary, Part-time, 18hrs/week


Supportive Recovery Program (SRP) is five beds within the Raven’s Keep Transition House. SRP is for women and their children wanting to modify addiction lifestyles using a harm reduction model.

JOB SUMMARY:

We require a self-motivated innovative individual who is able to take on the challenge of the Supportive Recovery Program.

The Supportive Recovery Worker position is temporary, part-time (18 hours/week). We are looking for someone who has excellent communication skills and an above-par ability to maintain clear and firm boundaries. 

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  •  Delivers services for SRP
  • Evaluates SRP client needs and develop plans to address needs with the active participation of clients.
  • Organize and report SRP statistical data, monthly reports, and other reporting requirements
  • Recognizes, analyzes and deals with potential emergency situations such as client aggressive behavior to minimize potential harm to clients and/or the public. Reports all problems to the Program Director/ ED
  • Liaise with other community groups/workers to address client’s needs.
  • Provide support to mothers with children residing in the Transition House
  • Any other programs requirements and/or requests of the Program Director/ED.
  • Participates in case consultation & debriefing with the program manager

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum grade 12 with appropriate secondary education such as Social Service Worker certificate and/or related human service field certificates
  • Proficient business manner computer knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Word & Excel
  • Previous successful experience running a social service program
  • Must have own vehicle with valid driver’s license and clean drivers abstract

JOB SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Must be a proven team player
  • Demonstrated solid understanding of addictions, harm reduction, trauma-informed practice and intergenerational cycle of abuse
  • Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proven effective qualities working with women and children
  • Strong problem solving and decision making skills
