Job Description

Every piece in our gallery tells a story - and so does every visitor who walks through the door. Crystal Cabin Gallery showcases jewellery and artwork by artists from Haida Gwaii and across the Northwest Coast, and we’re looking for someone warm and welcoming to help travellers discover the artists, culture, and stories of this place at our Masset Airport gallery.


What You’ll Be Doing

You will be the primary Sales Lead at our Masset Airport location, operating the gallery independently during most shifts after training.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Welcoming travellers and helping them explore artwork and jewellery by local artists
  • Sharing artist stories and guiding customers through purchases
  • Operating the POS system and processing sales
  • Identifying opportunities for custom sales and customer follow-up
  • Maintaining displays and caring for jewellery and artwork
  • Keeping the gallery clean, organized, and well stocked
  • Monitoring inventory and notifying the team when stock is low
  • Preparing displays based on airport flight arrival schedules
  • Opening and closing the store according to gallery procedures


The daily rhythm of the store is tied to airport flight arrivals, so some flexibility is required when flights are delayed. You will receive training, coaching, and ongoing support to build confidence in product knowledge, sales approach, and customer engagement.


What We’re Looking For

Seasonal Contract:

May 22 - September 17, 2026 (approx.) Approximately 30-35 hours per week, typically Friday-Tuesday, aligned with airport flight schedules.

Paid training will begin mid-April at our Tlell location (1–2 days per week, flexible scheduling).
