Job Description

Position: Room Attendant / House Keeping

Location: Prince Rupert

Job Type: Temporary, 22-40 hrs/week

Wage: 18.25/hr

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team for the upcoming tourist season. This role is essential to maintaining the cleanliness and comfort of our guest rooms and ensuring an exceptional experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

  • Reports to work in required uniform (supplied) and with a neat and tidy appearance as this position deals with the public
  • Greets guests with a smile and in a warm and courteous manner
  • Provides courteous guest service and responds to guest requests promptly
  • Provide cleaning services for guests on a day-to-day basis to the highest standards
  • Strip beds, make beds, and change linen
  • Vacuum carpets, rugs, drapes and upholstered furniture
  • Clean and disinfect bathrooms, and appliances
  • Replenish towels, toiletries, and other guest room supplies
  • Maintain housekeeping carts and storage areas
  • Complete task sheets of listed rooms to be cleaned each day
  • Observe and report any maintenance repairs needed
  • Maintain hallways and stairwells cleanliness and vacuum
  • Work as a team player or individual
  • Performs other duties as required by the management

Experience

  • Must like fun at work
  • Friendly and pleasant demeanour, courteous, self-motivated and professional
  • A positive team player attitude and strong willingness to learn
  • Ability to lift up to 30lbs, pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling and lifting
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently
  • Good communications, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Must have availability on weekend and holidays
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision, independently and as part of a team
  • Energetic, flexible, reliable, hands-on individual with initiative and integrity

Wage: $18.25 / hour 22 – 40 hours per week
