General Manager will oversee and provide direction to our operations team who oversees guest experiences in all areas of resort operations. Primary goals are for seamless customer service and quality resort operations.
To support our goals for driving business growth at our year-round remote lodge operations, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to be our ‘boots-on-the-ground’ leader for this diversified operation. In addition to overseeing staff responsible for daily operations, the General Manager will provide key input towards developing our short, mid, and long-range strategic plans to ensure we are a world class tourism facility that continues to attract new and returning guests to the resort each season.
The ideal candidate has previous experience working in a senior management role for a remote lodge operation or similar wilderness lodge operations with high-level leadership and decision-making authority. You demonstrate a commitment to advancing Indigenous cultural awareness and developing your personal cultural competencies. You demonstrate a high degree of professionalism and maintain diplomacy in all working relationships, and you have experience supporting the development of skills in others. You are a “boots-on-the-ground” manager, and you will roll up your sleeves and jump in to support staff and you use these opportunities as teachable moments for mentoring and skills development. Your past successes in remote lodge operations keep you confident in taking on new challenges. You have an established professional network, and you understand the logistics related to the work.
