Pacific Inn is seeking a reliable and skilled Building Maintenance Worker to ensure the proper maintenance, repair, and overall upkeep of the hotel and conference facilities. The successful candidate will perform routine maintenance tasks and respond to repair requests to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for guests and staff.
Job Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems including plumbing, electrical, heating, and ventilation
- Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and facilities to identify repair needs
- Repair drywall, flooring, doors, windows, and other structural components
- Perform minor painting, carpentry, and general repair work
- Conduct preventative maintenance on hotel equipment and mechanical systems
- Respond to maintenance requests from guests and staff in a timely manner
- Maintain maintenance logs and records of repairs
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes
- Assist with seasonal property maintenance, including exterior upkeep
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Physically capable of lifting, climbing, and performing manual tasks
- Basic English communication skills
