Security Guards – Seasonal (Prince Rupert)

Join Securiguard as a Seasonal Security Guard in Prince Rupert and be part of an exciting opportunity to work with a high-profile client in a dynamic, customer-facing environment. This role is ideal for security professionals who thrive in fast-paced, high-visibility settings and enjoy engaging with the public.

Hours of work: Shifts: Shifts are dependant when cruise ships are in port; Roughly 9 – 15 per month from May to October

Pay Rate: $27.50/hour + applicable overtime

Worksite: Prince Rupert, BC

Job Requirements:

Represent Securiguard and our client with professionalism and exceptional customer service

Provide a strong, visible security presence at cruise ship terminals and port areas

Monitor site access and maintain control of high-traffic areas

Respond to incidents and emergencies in accordance with protocol

Use two-way radios effectively for communication with team members and supervisors

Stand for extended periods of time while ensuring the safety and security of guests and staff

Prepare detailed, descriptive reports on all shift activities and incidents

Support port operations and contribute to a safe, welcoming environment for cruise passengers and crew

Candidate Requirements:

 Valid BC Security License (mandatory)

 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – must be comfortable interacting with guests and clients

 Strong professional demeanor and customer service orientation

 Ability to write clear and factual incident and shift reports in English

 Physically able to stand and remain alert for long periods of time

 Previous experience with radio communication is an asset

 Must be able to obtain a Transport Canada Security Clearance (TSC)
