Primary Teacher

The Living and Learning School is an independent school located in Daajing Giids (Haida Gwaii) with a focus on outdoor education, problem solving, academics, individualized learning, social responsibility, and environmental stewardship.

We are actively seeking an energetic full-time teacher to lead a small multi-grade class for the 2025-26 school year. Our school operates primarily 4 days per week (with one 5-day week per month), totalling approximately 157 teaching days per year.

You are:

● a passionate educator certified to teach in BC schools

● skilled in positive classroom management

● inspired to work with a small multi-grade class (typically K-3)

● successful at working collaboratively with colleagues, parents and students

We offer:

● salary rage: $55,000 to $65,000 commensurate with experience and level of responsibility

● health benefits and paid sick and discretionary time

● 12 students per class maximum

● regular classroom support
