JOB SUMMARY: full-time, permanent
The maintenance worker will perform general and emergency maintenance and repairs for the North Coast Transition Society property and buildings.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
· General maintenance of heating systems
· Monthly emergency lights check
· Minor carpentry work, maintenance, and repairs
· Minor electrical work, maintenance, and repairs
· Minor plumbing work, maintenance, and repairs
· Outside cleanup, maintenance, and repairs
· Responds to emergencies and makes emergency repairs or has emergency services called
· Any other service requirements and/or requests of the Executive Director/Program Manager
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:
· Minimum grade 12
· Record of attendance & time keeping as proven by past history
· Good troubleshooting skills
· Must have own vehicle with valid driver’s license and clean drivers abstract
· Criminal record check required
Wage range: $25.95 - $29.76, plus benefits and pension plan
This position requires BCGEU Union membership.
