POSITION SUMMARY

Haida Wild is a Haida-owned company, owned and operated by Haida Enterprise Corporation (HaiCo). Haida Wild is seeking reliable and skilled individuals to join our team as Casual Labourer for various plant maintenance and labor tasks. This is an on-call position, ideal for people looking for flexible work opportunities. Some of the positions may include the below.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Perform plant maintenance and general labor tasks as required.
• Operate a forklift safely and efficiently (certified operators preferred).
• Assist with construction-related tasks, including basic carpentry and repairs.
• Maintain grounds, including mowing, trimming, and general upkeep.
• Use a pressure washer to clean equipment and facilities.
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions, including rain and cold temperatures.
• Safely lift and carry up to 50 lbs as part of routine duties.
• Utilize ladders and/or man lifts safely to reach elevated work areas.
• Support other team members and contribute to a safe working environment.
• Cut Fish when necessary
• Help out with office duties

TRAINING, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE

• Experience: Previous experience in construction, plant maintenance, or similar labor-intensive roles.
• Forklift Operation: Certification required; experience highly preferred.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Safety Awareness: Ability to use ladders, man lifts, and other equipment safely.
• Weather Resilience: Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Adaptability: Ability to handle a variety of tasks and respond to changing needs on short notice.
• Follow instructions

ADDITIONAL SKILLS (Preferred but not required): 

• Knowledge of basic construction techniques.
• Familiarity with grounds maintenance equipment.
• Experience using pressure washers and other cleaning equipment.
• Fish Cutting
