Tsimshian Arts and Culture Society (TACS) is seeking a highly motivated and collaborative part-time Executive Director with a passion for the arts and good operational skills.
We engage and support artists and community members through relevant resources and services. We operate our office at 716 Fraser St. and manage our programs with contracted administrative staff.
This is a growth-oriented role with a view to building out the organization in keeping with its strategic planning framework.
The ED is familiar with the non-profit sector and is responsible for directing the ongoing and day-to-day operations. The ED, of their own initiative, will advance the organization’s goals and objectives through sustainable operational plans as outlined in the 2024-2026 strategic planning framework.
They are answerable to the Board and will work with the Administrator, board and Community on a regular basis.
$22-$25/hr. Based on experience
Essential knowledge, skills and abilities include:
· Knowledgeable about the arts in BC
· Strong financial skills and proven/successful grant writing experience.
· Ability to provide effective leadership to oversee and motivate TACS staff and volunteers
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
· Ability to work independently and within a team
· Proficiency with standard office software applications
· Ability to adapt
Up to 25 hours a week.
