We took a moment on our last potluck to share and reflect on Canada day and being Canadian means also reflecting about difficult situations:

"Being Canadian, in this moment, does mean reflecting on the history of colonialism and residential schools as a way of trying to establish new, better, stronger relations moving forward." 🍁

It is important to continue to recognize Canada Day as a day for mourning and acknowledgment in regard to the injustice committed against Indigenous communities.
