FULL-TIME POSITION
Hecate Strait Employment Development Society (HSEDS) is a non-profit organization governed by a board of directors with a mandate to provide employment programming and training to enhance the opportunities of the residents of the North Coast, Haida Gwaii and Bella Bella.
As a HSEDS SPARK Facilitator you are responsible for delivering an innovative new program to prepare youth to move into advanced education for knowledge sector careers. You will inspire youth from Prince Rupert and Haida Gwaii to find, prepare for, and follow a pathway towards a dream career.

Key Responsibilities:
•Plan and deliver a training calendar for Bladerunners sessions,
•Engage team members, project partners, and others in planning and delivery,
•Provide one-to-one coaching and planning, classroom facilitation, and support to individuals,
•Develop and create necessary partnerships, and implement Bladerunners community projects that contribute to local priorities and/or youth interests,
•Develop and lead communications, recruitment and outreach plans on the following: print, in-person, virtual and social media success stories,
•Participate on cross department team initiatives and projects,
•Other related duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications:
•One-year certificate in Office Administration, Business Administration, or other relevant discipline;
•Knowledge of the Employment Standards Act BC;
•Excellent oral and written communication skills;
•Demonstrated exceptional computer software skills;
•Ability to enter and manage data with speed and accuracy;
•Strong organizational and judgement skills to ensure that deadlines are met while working with frequent interruptions;
•Demonstrated exceptional administrative support skills, including the ability to take responsibility, display initiative, and make independent decisions;
• Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills;
• Demonstrated commitment to service excellence and teamwork;
• Ability to perform duties in a confidential manner with minimal supervision;
•Able to prioritize, multi-task, and complete assignments under strict deadlines;
•Able to work effectively as part of a collaborative team as well as independently;
•A high degree of professionalism and respect for confidentiality;
•Previous experience working in a non-profit environment is preferred.
