Security Guard – Full Time (Prince Rupert)

Securiguard is hiring full-time Security Guards for a unique and dynamic project in the Prince Rupert area!

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-impact team in a specialized environment, offering competitive pay and rotational shifts

Hours of work: Shifts: 4-on / 4-off rotation | Strictly Night Shift (18:15 – 07:45)

Pay Rate: $20/hour + daily OT/DT

Worksite: Barge-based; transportation via water shuttle (included in shift time)

Job Requirements:

Maintain a strong visual security presence to detect and deter unauthorized individuals

Conduct regular patrols of designated areas on the barge

Control access to terminals and project areas

Perform radio check-ins and maintain clear communication with supervisors and emergency services when necessary



Respond effectively to emergency and incident situations, following all required protocols

Write accurate and descriptive incident and shift reports

Identify and report safety hazards

Provide excellent customer service to our client and their visitors

Carry out regular site duties as per client’s standard operating procedures

Maintain detailed, consistent notebook entries and activity logs throughout the shift

Candidate Requirements:

Valid BC Security License

Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

Ability to write clear and detailed incident reports

High attention to detail and keen observational skills

Must be comfortable commuting via water shuttle to and from the barge (travel time included in paid hours)

Reliable transportation to get to the shuttle point in Prince Rupert

Must be available to work on a 4-on / 4-off rotation, strictly night shifts (6:15 PM – 7:45 AM) We're only accepting applications from individuals seeking full-time employment with the ability to get yourself to and from site.
