Job summary:

The Food Bank Coordinator is responsible for the operations of the IWS Feed the People Food Bank , including day-to-day operations, client relations and community outreach related to the food bank. They network with like-minded agencies dealing with food security and food sovereignty on Haida Gwaii. The coordinator is responsible for fundraising, volunteer development as it relates to the food bank and administration of the program. This position is part of the Islands Wellness Society team and there is an expectation of working collaboratively with other team members for the benefit of the organization as a whole and the wider community.

The Islands Wellness Society Board of Directors

Skills, Abilities, Qualifications:

• Class 5 Driver's Licence and use of personal vehicle
• Excellent people skills — respectful communication, building and working with a team, working with volunteers
• Computing skills — Word, Excel, etc. for record keeping
• Demonstrating organizational capacity, including fundraising
