Nanny Job Opportunity

Job Description

We are looking to hire an enthusiastic, energetic, caring and experienced live-out Nanny in Prince Rupert, BC for our 1 yr old daughter on a part time basis, 3 days (24 hrs) a week to start as soon as possible. The Nanny will create a safe, healthy, caring, fun, and nurturing environment for our daughter while assisting with some light housekeeping and pet care. Duties include meal preparation, feeding, changing, nap times, and providing ample play time, walks or other creative activities. Additional training for handling food allergies will be provided. Pet care will be for our one elderly, yet energetic, dog.

Wage: $20/hr.

Responsibilities

·      Care for our 1 yr old daughter that includes:

o  Preparing regular meals and snacks, preparing and giving bottles, changing, and providing nap times when required.

o  Entertaining by providing ample play time and other creative, stimulating activities (eg. Arts/crafts/games), going on walks or spending time outdoors when possible.

·      Care for our elderly, yet energetic, dog that includes:

o  Feeding, providing freshwater, letting them outside for regular breaks, going on walks.

·      Maintaining a positive, safe, clean and tidy home environment at all times.

Qualifications

·      3+ years childcare experience, including infant/toddler care

·      Proficient knowledge of housekeeping and meal preparation for infant/toddler

·      First aid and/or Infant CPR required

·      Foodsafe and experience with food allergies an asset

·      Affinity for children and pets

·      Outstanding verbal and communication skills

·      Demonstrates positivity, pleasant disposition, and kindness

·      Physically fit and energetic

·      Background check and references required
