Job Description

Bridgeview Marine was established in 1979, with locations in Delta, Prince Rupert, Sandspit, and Denny Island, BC. We are an authorized dealer and warranty repair center for the industry’s leading marine manufacturers.

We are looking for an experienced Marine Service Technician to join us at our location in Sandspit, BC.

You will be responsible for servicing new and used Mercury Marine engines.

Education:

  • Marine Trade Certificate desired or previous equivalent marine service/repair experience may be considered.
  • Previous attendance or willing to attend specialized training including Mercury University

Experience:

  • Experience with servicing new and used marine engines, specifically outboard engines as well as many industry leaders such as Mercury Marine, Yamaha, Suzuki and Volvo Penta.
  • Use of forklift, yard trailer, and overhead crane considered an asset

Skills and Abilities:

  • Self-motivated, resourceful and flexible with ability to work within tight deadlines
  • Strong diagnostic and repair skill level
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Proficiency with computers and willingness to learn industry specific software

Job duties:

  • Inspect marine engines and other components using test devices
  • Diagnose any faults and perform appropriate repairs
  • Test system after proper repairs
  • Determine repair cost estimates for customer
  • Notify customers on any work needing to be done
  • Organize parts requirements and work orders
  • Perform scheduled maintenance on marine engines and other components
  • Positive customer interaction
