Job Description For Housekeeper/Breakfast Room Attendant

This posting is for a position that requires being able to work in guest rooms as well as the breakfast room

Housekeeper is responsible for ensuring rooms and other areas of the hotel are kept clean everyday. The housekeeper must have a keen eye for detail.

Details - changing bed linens, making beds, replacing towels and linens, polishing furniture, vacuuming carpets, washing floors, cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms, washing walls and cleaning windows. Cleaning other areas of the hotel - stairways, hallways and lobby as directed the housekeeping supervisor. Adhere to all safety, security, and company policies and procedures. Possess a strong ability to pull and push work-related equipment such as loaded carts. Ability to work independently without direct supervisor, and be able to work with others. Strong ability to follow verbal instructions. Previous cleaning experience may be an advantage but is not a requirement.

Breakfast Room Attendant is responsible for ensureing all guests are served in a timely manner and to keep the breakfast room neat and tidy. Attendant must have a keen eye for detail.

Details - Serving breakfast items to guests (no cooking required) as they request them, preparing basic breakfast items. Keeping all items full and ready for guests. Keeping the breakfast area tide in between guests. Restocking food tiems in the breakfast room from the pantry or storage areas, clearing dishes and running them through the dishwasher. One the breakfast room is closed the attenant will be responsible for cleaning up the breakfast room - moving furniture, vacuuming, cleaning windows,wiping down tables and chairs, restocking food items and preparing trays for the next day. Also responsible for cleaning the hotel lobby and lobby bathroom. Food Safe Certification is an asset but not a requirement to apply.

The Applicant must be available for all days of the week (including weekends), early morning start in the breakfast room. Hours are flexible depending on how busy the property.
