Location: Located in Skidegate, Haida Gwaii
Reporting to: Health Director
Working Conditions: Mondays to Fridays 8:30 – 4:30
Salary Range: $40.00 to $44.25/hour (currently under review)

Under the direction of the Health Director, the Finance Manager contributes to the overall success of the organization by effectively managing all the financial tasks for the organization. The Finance Manager oversees a small team, and is responsible for payroll, financial reporting, compliance, and audits. This role ensures accurate and timely payment processing, maintains financial records in accordance with GAAP, and implements policies to secure financial data. Key responsibilities include managing statutory payments, preparing audit documentation, handling accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank accounts, and forecasting cash flow. Additionally, the position collaborates with departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and program tracking while maintaining compliance with internal and external regulations.

Education, Training & Experience
Accounting certification minimum and,
Ten years of experience in office and financial administration
Experience supervising employees
Excellent knowledge of MS Office suite, as well as accounting software (SAGE preferred)
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Ability to work independently and with a team to meet deadlines
Strives to meet or exceed national standards of accreditation
Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Knowledge and understanding of Haida culture and values
Valid Class 5 Driver’s license an asset
