An employment opportunity exists for a TEMPORARY Part-Time (0.6 FTE) Elementary Collaborative
Support and Learning Support Teacher effective September 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026 at Daax̱iigan Sḵ'adáa
Née K-12 School.
Requirements:
• A university teaching major, or its equivalent, directly related to the teaching position;
• Understanding and being committed to the calls to action of the Truth and Reconciliation
commission, including the eradication of existing and persistent equity gaps for specific groups of
children;
• Completion of Level B Assessment Training course or willingness to obtain;
• The focus of this role will be to collaborate with classroom teachers to co-plan, co-teach and coassess
for personalized student learning;
• Be prepared to provide support in creating inclusive learning environments where students are
connected, supported, engaged and challenged;
• High level of skills related to successful classroom management, and to the development and
maintenance of a positive classroom climate;
• Experience with multi-grade classes an asset;
• Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, instruct and evaluate learning activities for students’
strengths and for their academic, social, emotional and behavioural needs;
• Assume responsibility for the development and execution of Individual Education Plans and
Behaviour Support Plans;
• Knowledge of school-based teams;
• Proven interpersonal skills, work ethic and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with
students, teachers, education assistants, parents and administrators;
• Understanding of local resources and environment;
• Teacher Regulation Branch certification.
Competitive Salary: $39,583-$67,993 per annum
Remote and Rural Allowance: $1,821per annum
Travel Allowance: $682 per annum
