Description

The Constitution Engagement Project Manager will support community engagement over a 14-week period by scheduling, organizing and delivering engagements across 4 regions. This role involves developing engagement materials, documenting feedback and providing a detailed summary report at the end of the 14-week period. This position involves collaborating with other departments for seamless project delivery and travelling to 4 different regions (HlGaagilda, Gaw Tlagée, Kxeen, T’agwan) to engage with communities directly. 


KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the Policy Team with scheduling, organizing and delivering community engagement.
  • Develop engagement materials (presentations, handouts, surveys) tailored to different audiences, ensuring accessibility and clarity of constitutional topics.
  • Document feedback from each session in a consistent format to support analysis and reporting.
  • Provide final summary of engagement outcomes by the end of September to the Policy Director.
  • Coordinate with the CHN Communications Team to promote engagement sessions via social media, newsletters, and community channels.
  • Liaise with 4 regions of CHN - HlGaagilda, Gaw Tlagée, Kxeen, T'agwan to deliver engagement sessions.
  • Conduct one engagement session in each region July 19-26, 2025.
  • Conduct additional 'focused' sessions as per work plan.
  • Track participation rates and key themes throughout the engagement period to inform mid-project adjustments.
  • Manage projects to meet budget requirements.
  • Some evening and weekend work as required.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Valid Class 5 Drivers License.
  • Demonstrated experience/knowledge of Haida governance, Constitution, and policies.
  • Previous experience with conducting public engagements.
  • Highly organized with strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage and resolve conflict effectively.
  • Effective public speaking skills.
  • Must be willing to travel between 4 regions of CHN - HlGaagilda, Gaw Tlagée, Kxeen, T'agwan.
  • Experienced in social media platforms.


$35.50 - $39.94 per hour based on experience, Full-time 35 hrs. per week


The Constitution Engagement Project Manager is a short-term position from July 14 to October 18, 2025.
