Class 1 or 3 Drivers

CIF Construction is a premium heavy civil contractor specializing in concrete and earthworks, delivering high quality projects for a range of industries including mining, oil & gas, forestry, and energy. We are looking for experienced Class 1 or 3 Drivers interested in working at our Concrete Batch Plant on Ridley Island near Prince Rupert, BC. These positions will work 14 days on/14 days off, 10-hour per day rotation.

Workdays include performing tasks such as:

·       Operating various types of heavy equipment including excavators, loaders, dozers, mixer trucks, and concrete pump trucks (both manual and automatic transmissions)

·       Performing pre-operational and post-operational safety inspections on equipment

·       Completing daily equipment reports, advising supervision of any required maintenance or repairs

·       Operating equipment in a safe and efficient manner to meet production targets

·       Working and operating in all weather conditions

·       Communicating effectively and professionally with dispatch, other operators, and supervisors

·       Cleaning, lubricating, and refueling equipment

·       Working in tight & deep spaces, as well as congested areas

·       Maintaining ground conditions and operating within environmental guidelines

·       Observing the safe distribution of concrete and other materials

·       Ensuring sites are kept clean and safe

·       Attending meetings and reviewing procedures and legislation to ensure responsible equipment operation

For this position you come equipped with:

·       Five + years related work experience

·       Demonstrated commitment to working safely

·       Valid class 1 or 3 driver’s licence with air brakes endorsement

·       Preference to those with valid operating certificates including mixer truck, excavator, loader, dozer, skidsteer

·       Equipment maintenance skills including oil changes and hose replacements

·       Concrete pump truck operating certificate is an asset

·       Experience with concrete production

·       Experience working on industrial projects

·       Valid WHMIS certification

·       Valid First Aid certificate is an asset
