Job Summary

Reporting to the Haida House Manager , the Server position will be responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience. The hours of work may include evenings and weekends. We are seeking an experienced On-Call Casual Server to deliver outstanding service in a fast-paced and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality, knowledgeable about food and beverages, and capable of creating memorable guest experiences.


Key Responsibilities


  • Provide friendly, professional service to guests while delivering an authentic Haida House experience.
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring guests' needs are met.
  • Serve food and drinks in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including setting and clearing tables.
  • Offer menu recommendations such as weekly specials ,and knowledgeably describe dishes and ingredients.
  • Handle guest inquiries, and dietary needs with care.
  • Process payments and handle cash/point-of-sale transactions.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and food service regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house team to ensure seamless service.

Qualifications & Skills


  • Previous serving experience in a restaurant or lodge setting an asset.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
  • Serving It Right certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure.
  • A passion for hospitality, local and Haida culture, and guest experience.
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Familiarity with Haida culture and local cuisine is an asset.
  • Drivers licence an asset
