Temporary Records Clerk Distributed Learning (Part Time)

SALARY: $25.82 per hour

HOURS OF WORK: Five (5) hours per week
WORK SITE: GidGalang Kuuyas Naay or Gudangaay Tlaats’gaa Naay Secondary
The Records Clerk types a variety of materials and performs a variety of clerical duties.
This position works under the immediate direction of the School Administrative Assistant and
under the supervision of the Principal.

• Grade 12 graduation/supplemented by typing 50 c.w.p.m. and general office
• Six months to one year related experience.
• Working knowledge in computer operations and current Student Information System,
such as MyEdBC.
• Ability to operate various office equipment including photocopy, facsimile, public
address, postage machine, laminator, and shredder.
• Ability to work with constant interruptions while meeting deadlines.
• Ability to use judgement in carrying out established procedures.
• Ability to use tact and diplomacy in contacts with parents, public, staff and students.
• Good knowledge of Business English, spelling and punctuation.
• Recognize and respect the confidential nature of all information related to students,
parents and staff.
• Trained in WorkSafe BC – Level I First Aid or better or the willingness to obtain the same.
This position may be bid on by qualified employees with existing appointments where the total
number of hours worked will be a minimum of four (4) hours and a maximum of seven (7) hours
per day; this caveat is without prejudice or precedence. These combined hours must be able to
be scheduled to meet the school’s organizational requirements.
