About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Production, the Production Supervisor is a key leadership role in the organization with accountability for the safe operation of the plant and for the performance and development of Production Team Leads (PTL) and shift personnel.

You will use your expertise to:
During Project Execute Phase (module fabrication, pre-commissioning, commissioning, start up, ramp up)
HSSE and Process Safety:
• Act as Safety Champion (respectfully intervene and contribute to our aim to be the Safest Project on Earth), participate in quality (FPD) and safety walkdowns, attend and actively participate in the daily toolbox talks and other safety sessions.
• Lead and/or contribute to operations readiness delivery task force(s):
o Lead the development Operations procedures and work instructions and review/approve drafts
o Setup and implement Ensure Safe Production (ESP) process and tools
o Setup and implement Permit to Work (PtW) work process
o Assurance and execution of pre-commissioning, commissioning and initial start up activities

• Manage trips, emergencies and drills during start up and initial operation
People Development:
• Act as an ambassador for system ownership during commissioning period and coach panel and field technicians in the delivery of high-quality system turnover from the EPC contractor
• Balance the need for core skilling in the execute phase while ensuring the foundation for future multi-skilling in the operate phase is accounted for in training and development plans
• Participate in recruitment of the operations team
• Ensure employee engagement through development or 1:1 meeting between Production Supervisor and Production Team Leads (PTL) as well as between PTL’s and their Technician reports
• Develop a Discussion Log to record outcomes of 1:1 and to be used for recognition and management of performance

During Operate (run and maintain) Phase:
HSSE and Process Safety:
• Ensure all safety incidents, abnormal operation and trip events within the shift are duly reported through LNG Canada incident management system, and recorded in the shift log. Ensure preliminary 5-why analysis is completed to enable high quality reporting
• Review, challenge, understand and when appropriate, approve any alarms which are shelved and any overrides on safeguarding systems or safety critical equipment as per LNG Canada procedures
• Ensure that operations procedures and safe work practices (both personal and process safety) are complied with and deviations are approved as required per LNG Canada procedure
• Provide coaching and assurance on ESP, PtW/SI work process
• Instil a high situational awareness and safety culture in the shift staff by ensuring and auditing the use of the HSE case, up-to-date isolation records, override registers, temporary plant change register, PTW compliance, valve lock compliance, job safety analysis, etc.
• Initiate reporting of incidents to regulators
• Manage trips, emergencies and drills during operate phase

People Development:
• Collaborate with other Production Supervisors to manage the competencies

and development of personnel to ensure all production teams are balanced in terms of skills and competencies
• Accountable to ensure that shift teams are managed in accordance with applicable LNG Canada Human Resources policies
• Provide regular performance feedback to Production Team Leaders, initiate performance improvement process to address performance issues and ensure consequence management is delivered promplty, consistenly and appropiately for all underperformance and non-compliance
• Ensure recognition program is in place, is sustainable and is utilized to positively influence individual performance
• Ensure development needs and yearly goals of Production Team Leaders are addressed through regularly scheduled 1:1’s and mid and end of year performance reviews and competence requirements are kept up to date
• Ensure Operations and Maintenance multiskilling capabilities are developed in partnership with Training and Learning departments
• Through intent based leadership, foster a 24/7 mindset, where the shift teams know the asset, maximize the asset potential, support repairing the asset and escalate when appropiate
• Model inclusive collaboration skills at all times to foster “one site” team behaviours across all disciplines, cultures and skill levels ensuring all are heard, understood and valued
• The Production Supervisors are the care takers of the LNG Canada culture among the Production teams
Production Assurance:
• Ensure alignment between process and common facilities PTL’s to make certain that the shift activities are in line with the overall plan for the day and SIMOPS risks to the production plan are minimized
• Coordinate external support to manage ongoing issues that threaten delivery of the production plan
• Coordinate with Production Planner to jointly manage deviations from the production plan
• Production Supervisors uunderstand that the profitability of the business is essential and is responsible to effectively communicate the importance of cost consciousness to PTL’s and shift team members
• Champion the development of digitization as a way of working within the Production organization and use influencing skills to drive the use of digital tools and future proof the business in all phases of the project – execute through to operate

• At least 15 years of related industry experience (Utilities, Oil and Gas, Storage and Loading)
• Minimum 5 years previous leadership experience in a related industry
• Possess a 4th Class PE, EOCP Level 2 certificate or post-secondary/technical diploma or degree in a related field
• Extensive knowledge of industry safe work processes including: Permit to Work, Lock Out Tag Out, SIMOPS
• Extensive knowledge of HSSE and Process Safety requirements in a related industry
• Good computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SAP
• Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
• Strong presentation and facilitation skills
• Good organization and task management skills
• Emergency Response experience and knowledge of Incident Command System would be an asset
• Experience managing the training and development of others would be an asset

• Experience working with and knowledge of Continuous Improvement and Lean principals would be an asset
• Experience working with and knowledge of Incident Investigation process and Learning From Incidents work processes would be an asset
This role requires that you:
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada (i.e., by way of Canadian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work permit)
• Live in the beautiful District of Stikine (Kitimat/Terrace). For applicants located outside of the region, you are encouraged to explore what Kitimat has to offer in terms of lifestyle including schooling, local amenities, outdoor adventure, and housing, to ensure Kitimat is where you would like to call your new home.Know that this role is based in Kitimat, BC and relocation is required.
• Travel to LNG Canada offices in Calgary may be required as required
• Schedule Kitimat: Subject to phase of the project, 50 CSU schedule during the Execute phase not necessarily every Saturday and Sunday off. This will be initiated by Production Manager.
• Schedule Kitimat During Operate: 40hrs per week/5/2.
• Know that Extra hours, afterhours coverage and/or shiftwork may be required particularly during the project execution (pre-commissioning, commissioning and start up) phase
• Know that the Production Supervisor is the Line Supervisor for the Production Team Leads
• Are willing to work outdoors during inclement weather in all seasons including heavy snowfall and periods of heavy rain.
• Are able to climb ladders and stairs, at heights and in go in confined spaces if needed. Plant design conditions provide structures that are significantly taller than common in industry, individuals must be comfortable with heights
• Are able to work wearing a respirator or Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) when needed
• Are willing to comply with LNGC’s drug-free and harassment-free work environment and comply with all safety policies and procedures.
• Undergo a pre-placement medical assessment of your fitness for duty, a background check and Pre-Site Access testing for alcohol and specified drugs.
• Have a Valid Driver’s license
• Know that this is not a fly-in, fly-out rotation role.
