Operations Manager (Contract)

The Haida Heritage Centre is seeking an Operations Manager for a short-term 6-month salary
contract, with potential for a long-term permanent position.
The Operation’s Manager reports directly to the Executive Director of Gwaalagaa Naay
Corporation and oversees the operations of the Haida Heritage Centre at Kay’Llnagaay.
The Manager will direct all personnel, monitor all physical operations, and make
recommendations to ensure the success of the Centre and the proper maintenance of its

• Co-create a marketing plan, including the use media, social media,
promotion through trade shows, and other opportunities to advance the
success of the centre
• Develop and recommend new initiatives including programs, workshops,
partnerships, activities, etc. to improve the profitability of the Centres
• Maintain a close working relationship with all partners, all tourism outlets
on HG, including the Museum and agencies using the HHC facilities
• Ensure that all statistics and data are maintained in a useful and timely
fashion, to support funding and other opportunities
• Manage leases, rentals, events
• Ensure that all staff are in place, trained and able to meet the needs of the
centre. Oversee the student employment programs
• Ensure the proper building maintenance
• booking clients, receiving payments, maintaining social media presence,
ordering supplies, and maintaining a good working relationship with local
suppliers, hotels, etc.
• Maintain inventory and ensure proper financial reporting to GNC.

RENUMERATION: Contract position, $28.00 per hour, 35 hours per week.
