Description

We seek an Interim Health Administrator for a six month term to fill in during the absence of the Administrator,
and ensure a smooth transition upon return of Incumbent.

POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting through the Chair to the Board of Niislaa Naay, the Interim Health Administrator works closely with the Board,
implements its policies and oversees all management responsibilities for the operation of the Society.
– maintains the strategy and vision for the organization, ensures that proper financial systems are in place to
manage control of expenditures, preparing budgets and securing financial support.
– builds positive relationships with funders, other agencies, and Niislaa Naay staff.
– is responsible for all aspects of the effective management of staff.
– Other related duties as required

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
▪ Proven ability to work well with Agencies and healthcare professionals, inspiring performance through
leadership and team building
▪ Knowledge of Haida culture
▪ Strategic thinker with administrative knowledge
▪ Knowledge of budgeting and financial oversight, excellent writing and speaking skills, experience
raising funds and maintaining good relationships both externally and internal

TRAINING, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• A minimum of five years management experience in a leadership role, preferably in Healthcare
• Relevant post-secondary degree
• Proven effective leadership capacity, effective staff management
