Guest Services & Operations Support, Haida House

POSITION TYPE: Full-Time
LOCATION:  Tlell

 

POSITION SUMMARY

The Guest Services and Operations Support is a position that pivots and changes daily, as needed. The position will assist in running the front of the house (including some floor service), some of the back of the house with a considerable amount of interaction with our lodge and cabin guests which ensures a quality hospitality and tourism experience.  The position will work with the Haida House staff and directly with the Haida Tourism Operations Manager to help deliver an exceptional hospitality experience.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment, self-direction an asset
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Intermediate knowledge of Office 365
  • Strong knowledge and experience in Hospitality, Tourism, Guest Services and running Front of House
  • Knowledge of Haida Gwaii communities
  • Ability to “step in” as required

 

training, education and experience

  • Minimum 2 years successful experience in Indigenous tourism/management/hospitality
  • Some Post secondary education in tourism and/or Guest Services
  • Or an equal combination of education, training and experience
