Primary Role:

Oversee the operations of Don Cherry’s Restaurant including financial revenue and profit; recruitment, training and retention of people, food ordering and cost, menu creation, marketing and promotions. Create and execute the use of the Banquet space including revenue targets.

Areas of Responsibility:

Don Cherry’s Restaurant

· Set short and mid-term goals for all food and beverage areas

· Perform all hiring and training for all food and beverage areas

· Succession planning for all food and beverage areas

· Oversee and conduct performance management discussions for all food and beverage staff

· Ensure all areas of bclc policies and standards are followed and reported upon

· Menu creation, costing and execution

· Recruit, hire, train staff

· Oversee operation and reporting of Squirrel system including inventory management system

· Train supervisor to fill in as designate

· Plan and forecast monthly promotional calendar to coordinate with gaming (aim to fill the gaming floor during peak and non peak times)

· Create and promote Don Cherry’s as a destination of choice

· Oversee maintenance and repair of dish and glass washers

Banquet Area

· Develop a strategy and plan for the Banquet area at CPR including usage, facilities and target audience

· Set revenue goals based on targeted plan for this area

· Leverage community group and organizations to drive traffic to site during non peak hours

· Execute and facilitate events or meetings as scheduled

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: From $60,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Prince Rupert, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
