Description
ServcoCanada is looking for an experienced, local Project Coordinator responsible for managing our Pembina worksite in Prince Rupert.
Responsibilities:
- Experience coordinating the subcontracting scopes on behalf of our client.
- Respond timely to the Plant Manager requests and needs and anticipate as required.
- Experience with Industrial Civil Construction and General site services scopes preferred.
- Effective communication with clients, management, and project team personnel.
- Review areas of concern progress and schedules for all ongoing projects and initiate corrective actions with Plant Manager to resolve.
- Develop and improve department tools and work instructions on a continuous basis.
- Review all projects assigned and creates schedules for work and procedures.
- Manage craft and subcontractors performing day to day maintenance.
- Track daily costs and report daily/monthly to the Plant Manager and Contract Manager
- Provide mentorship and direction to your site teams.
- Oversee preparation of invoice, voucher, and progress billing documentation through AR assistance.
- Complete site inspections to ensure work is completed in an accurate manner and to assess completion of tasks.
- Assist with subcontractor with onboarding, indoctrinations and HSE documentation.
- Ensure project quality documentation is being completed and assembled to the corporate and client requirements.
- Travel to jobs sites as required.
- Other duties as assigned by Senior Manager.
Experience:
- 5+ years of related industrial work experience or combination of relevant education and experience.
- Supervisory experience is an asset.
- Ability to work independently and anticipate peak work requirements.
- Proven success in a result driven organization where success is measured on execution, delivery, and safety.
- Superior communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, and the ability to work with senior management.
- Working knowledge of construction and engineering documents, drawings, and specifications.
- Capable of identifying issues and generating solutions in moderately complex situations.
- Willingness to contribute actively to team discussions, sharing experiences and ideas.
- Strong organizational and planning skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong computer skills with an aptitude for learning new programs. Familiarity with scheduling software and MS Office suite of products
Pre-access drug and alcohol test is required and a valid CSTS and WHMIS certificate.
