Job Summary:  Responsible for implementation, management, supervision and evaluation of programs and employees in accordance with Society requirements
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor of Social Work Degree or related field + 2 years recent supervisory experience

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE may considered in lieu of a Bachelor Degree:

Diploma and training in social services related field + 2 years recent supervisory experience

EXPERIENCE & PROFICIENCIES:

Program Delivery

  • Ensure effective program/service delivery consistent with requirements for each program
  • Ensure the Society offers quality programs and services, meeting contract requirements
  • Ensure program and client records are maintained according to contract requirements

Human Resources

Direct, plan and coordinate the work of employees, including supervision and team building

·         Maintain adequate and qualified employees to carry out the program activities, in accordance with contract key service and delivery outcomes

Organizational

  • Assist Executive Director to determine program, resource and operational requirements for all new and existing programs within responsibility area
  • Participate in the development long range strategic plans, Performance Quality Improvement initiatives and assessing and resolving operational issues

Additional Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of community based programs and gaps in services
  • Ability to work with and interact with people of various ages and cultural backgrounds
  • Capacity to be detailed and results oriented while managing conflicting demands
  • Effective analytical and problem solving skills, especially while handling highly sensitive information
  • Sound computers skills – must be proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Access to vehicle and clear criminal record check
