What you’ll do:

Reporting to the Food Store Manager, this role is responsible for the overall operations of the Meat Department while providing leadership to a team. In this role, you will: Provide leadership and direction in the development and achievement of operational and financial results. Ensure standards for the marketing, merchandising, human resources, health and safety, and asset protection within the department are met. Maintain inventory controls, image and fixed assets, and perform administrative duties. Be responsible for recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and training and development of direct reports. Foster a positive work environment that enables the engagement of team members in the pursuit of desired results. Contribute to the Co-op in living the corporate values of Integrity, Excellence, Teamwork, and Responsibility.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Retail Store Operations and: You have a Grade 12 education or equivalent. You have 1-3 years experience in a retail environment with some supervisory or lead experience. You have experience in the meat industry; meat cutting experience is preferred. You’re honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do .You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most, and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meet shared objectives.
