Instructor – Nail Technician Program (Full Time)

Coast Mountain College (CMTN), Prince Rupert campus, invites applications for a non-regular instructor to teach a Nail Technician program as outlined below. The appointment will commence August 18, 2020 and end November 27, 2020 (subject to funding and minimum enrolment). The salary for this position will be in accordance with the BCGEU Instructor scale.

Duties: The instructor is responsible for delivering a Nail Technician program. This includes course preparation, teaching and guiding students, providing feedback, correction, encouragement, and direction to ensure students successfully complete the program.

The program is designed to provide participants the knowledge and skills to enable them to work in the nail industry and will be delivered in a combination of classroom and educational salon setting (400 instructional hours).


Nail Technology certification with the BeautyCouncil of BC as well as a minimum of 5 years of recent related experience in the nail industry. Preference will be given to candidates with BeautySafe certification and teaching experience and/or a Provincial Instructor Diploma.

  • Adaptable with the ability to work effectively within a variety of diverse situations
