Description

Program Description: 

Provides a variety of home-based assessment, planning and implementation services to infants (0 to 3 years old) with or at risk of developmental delay(s) and disabilities.  Provides support for families to support the development of the infant.

EDUCATION:   Bachelor Degree in a field related to child development or combination of education, training and experience

EXPERIENCE & PROFICIENCIES:

  • Two years recent work experience in the field of child development
  • Interviewing, observation and assessment skills, identifying areas of strength and need for support
  • Possess current and comprehensive knowledge of special needs / development delays and the effects on child development
  • Ability to develop and implement service plans, utilizing in-depth knowledge of community and provincial resources
  • Ability to evaluate effectiveness of service delivery plans and modify as necessary in collaboration with community and provincial professionals
  • Superior observation and documentation skills
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills
  • Strong work ethics to fulfill duties in a professional manner with limited supervision
  • Maintain professional boundaries with clients and other stakeholders
  • Clear criminal record check

Maintain a Class 5 licence with a clear Driver’s Abstract and have access to a vehicle
