Program Description: 

Provides a variety of home and office based supports to assist families with life, parenting and social skills as well as supervise visits for parents who have children living in the MCFD’s care

EDUCATION:   Bachelor Degree or combination of education and experience

EXPERIENCE & PROFICIENCIES:

  • One year related experience in human / social service field
  • In-depth understanding and ability to manage varying family dynamics
  • Provide support and guidance for clients to address issues related to family functioning in an individual or group setting using active listening, problem-solving, conflict resolution, etc.
  • Provide parenting skill building supports to clients on a variety of issues including parent-child interaction, discipline and behavior management
  • Superior observation and documentation skills
  • Ability to evaluate effectiveness of services / service plan offered and modify as necessary
  • Demonstrate excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills
  • Strong work ethics to fulfill duties in a professional manner with limited supervision
  • Maintain professional boundaries with clients and other stakeholders
  • Clear criminal record check

Access to vehicle, maintain Class 5 licence with a clear Driver’s Abstract
