Description

SAAM SMIT Towage is looking for a marine employee with knowledge of and experience working in the tug industry, for its operations in Prince Rupert, British Columbia.

The deckhand must be able to take direction and properly use all safety and firefighting equipment on the tug.

The successful candidate must be or become a member in good standing with the International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU), Local 400.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Current Unrestricted SVMO (Small Vessel Machinery Operator) certificate
  • Current MEDS (Marine Emergency Duties) certificate
  • Current Transport Canada Marine Medical certificate
  • Current Marine Basic First Aid
