Macro Properties


In the role of Cleaner, your primary responsibilities include maintaining the appearance and cleanliness of Macro Properties’ apartments and townhouses in Prince Rupert, BC. The main responsibilities include daily cleaning of stairwells, hallways and shared spaces for our tenants. The Cleaner is friendly, professional and detail orientated. From time to time Macro Properties rents apartments that are fully furnished and provides Cleaning Services. The following is an outline but not limited to cleaning responsibilities for fully furnished apartments in addition to residential buildings.

Job Requirements

  • Clean residential buildings and fully furnished suites including common areas such as lobbies, hallways, stairwells and laundry rooms
  • Responsible for ensuring rental units and occupied fully furnished suites are clean and move-in ready
  • Dusting and cleaning of kitchen areas
  • Dusting and cleaning of living areas
  • Responsible for laundry of bedding left in bathroom tub
  • Cleaning of bathroom and toilets
  • Operate carpet steam cleaner on carpets including units, hallways and stairwells
  • Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors
  • Dust furniture and vacuum carpeting and area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture
  • Clean, disinfect and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances
  • Clean oven, under burner rings and the range hood exhaust fan cover and screens
  • Clean and disinfect public areas such as hallways, front lobbies and elevators
  • Pick up debris and empty trash containers
  • Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of laundry rooms: empty waste containers, refill salt in water softeners, replace light bulbs in fixtures
  • Ensure all health, safety and security issues are remedied immediately. Regularly inspect and assess all areas of the facility to ensure equipment and facilities are being effectively maintained
  • Check apartments/buildings on regular basis for insects, pests, and rodents and start the process for extermination.
  • Inform Property Manager/ Office Assistant of any maintenance issues
  • Do minor maintenance such as required
  • Responsibilities are not limited to what is outlined above and may change

  • Physically demanding combination: sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching and kneeling
  • Weight handling/moving: Up to 20 to 23 Kg (50 lbs.)

  • Ability to communicate effectively Qualifications
  • Past experience working as a cleaner would be considered an asset
  • Must have a Valid Drivers’ License and reliable vehicle
  • Pleasant professional attitude with outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to positive customer service
  • Must have a clear criminal background check
