Assistant Manager, Operations (Full Time)

POSITION SUMMARY

The Assistant Manager, Operations assists in operationalizing both Ocean House and Haida House in the construction/transition to full operations phase.  They will then assist in operations such that all necessary booking, staffing and systems are in place and operating to ensure a quality tourism experience.  They will work with the Manager to deliver a quality tourism experience in all Haida Tourism properties/offerings, in successful profitable facilities.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills

Ability to work in a team environment

Strong organizational and supervision skills with attention to detail and delegation skills

Basic knowledge of accounting and payroll

Intermediate knowledge of Office 365

Knowledge of hospitality and Haida Gwaii communities

Training, education and experience:

At least 2 years successful experience in Indigenous tourism/management

Some Post secondary education in accounting, tourism and/or management

Or an equal combination of education, training and experience
