Afterschool and Summer Activity Worker (Part Time)

Hours are 20 per week Mon – Fri

Starting Wage:  $ 13 per hour

Successful applicant will have:

Grade 12 plus post secondary education in the area of ECE and School Aged Children

Special needs education/experience an asset

Clear Criminal Records Check

Up to date First Aid certificate

Individual will:

Develop and implement age appropriate activities for school aged children in a day care setting

Have knowledge of resources for children and families

Have effective verbal, presentation and listening communication skills

Have effective negotiation and mediation skills

Maintain reports and records

Work as part of a team and have the ability to work in a large group setting

Possess stress and time management skills

Must be prepared to enter a swim pool with children, and provide outdoor supervision when required

Demonstrate sound work ethics

Possess cultural awareness and sensitivity
