The Authorizations Administrator is responsible for administering an assigned portfolio of authorization agreements, providing advice, conducting detailed analyses, making recommendations on approvals and determining related fees.

Job Requirements:
In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:

  • Completion of post-secondary training or experience in a related field such as legal assistant, public administration or business administration or equivalent.
  • Experience in advising and explaining policies and legislation.
  • Experience reading and understanding legal documents/plans and resource maps.
  • Experience working in a customer service delivery program and dealing with a diverse range of clients and stakeholders.

Preference may be given to applicants with one or more of the following:

  • Relationship building experience with the Haida Nation.
  • Experience supporting First Nations consultation.
  • Experience working with Haida Gwaii specific natural resource policy and legislation (e.g. Strategic Land Use Agreement, Land Use Objectives Order, Kunst’aa Guu – Kunst’aayah Reconciliation Protocol).
