BJM is a joint venture (JV) between BAM International, JJM and Mason Construction. BJM is one of the larger contractors of the LNGC Project in Kitimat, BC.

The Material Offloading Facility (MOF) is among the first phases for the LNG Canada development in Kitimat. The purpose of the MOF is to provide for safe, efficient and reliable operation for the two berthing facilities North MOF and West MOF.

RESPONSIBILITIES: There is an immediate opportunity for Administrative (HR) Assistant in our Kitimat office. This role will provide a key administrative support for the human resources department, managers and the MOF team. Please note; this position is best suited for a local resident, as there are no accommodations available.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Duties/Responsibilities: Working in a fast paced and demanding team environment, the Administrative Assistant will provide timely and accurate work, within a confidential manner:

  • Administrative support
  • Travel and room coordination/reservations
  • Data entry, including and creating/updating spreadsheets in MS Excel
  • Filing
  • Provide key administrative to HR Manager, Project/Engineering Managers and other team members through a variety of tasks
  • ¬†Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/ Experience:

  • Post secondary courses in administration, human resources would be considered a strong asset
  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in Administration
  • Experience in the construction industry would be considered an asset
  • Strong computer skills MS Office suite
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
  • Working with confidential and sensitive information
  • Strong verbal and written skills
  • Possess strong problem solving ability, with excellent attention to detail.
