BASIC SECURITY TRAINING
Effective March 1, 2009 , the Basic Standards Training 1 & 2 program changed in accordance with the Security Services act and Regulations.
BST is now a one-40 hour theory course delivered in 5 segments:

Introduction to the course

Introduction to Private Security
-
Legal issues
-
Documentation
-
Personal Safety
Each student will receive a participant manual which includes all of the reference material, as well as self assessments and exercises.
The exam remains at 100 multiple choice questions and students have 2 hours to complete.
You must present Government issued photoID before you write the exam.(BCID, Drivers License, etc)
If you don’t have proper Identification, you cannot write the exam.
Important note:
You MUST Complete 40 hours of training to be eligible to write the exam

criminal record check/finger printing
